Deletion

Delete your account and your data

Updated 2 October 2026

You can ask for your account and everything attached to it to be erased at any time, without having to give a reason. Two things you erase yourself from your own space; the rest goes through one email.

What you can erase yourself

From your creator space, without writing to us, and straight away.

  • A video in your portfolio: it leaves your profile immediately, and the file is erased from storage thirty days later.
  • The connection to your Instagram account: the link and the access token are destroyed on the spot. Videos you had already imported stay in your portfolio until you remove them yourself, because they have become your profile videos.

Deleting the whole account

There is no button yet. Write to contact@selfshooty.com from the address on your account, with « account deletion » as the subject. Nothing else is asked for: no reason, no document.

Erased: your account and your profile, your portrait and your videos, your requests and your proposals, and the messages you exchanged.

What does not go with the account

The log of decisions taken on the platform, and what attaches to payments already made. These exist so that a decision or a transfer can be accounted for if it is challenged, and keeping them follows from a legal obligation.

They serve nothing else: not to contact you again, not to offer you anything.

If you came through Instagram or Facebook

Disconnecting the account from your space is enough to erase what we had taken from them: the link, the token and your handle.

You can also withdraw the permission from the network's own settings. Videos already imported into your portfolio are removed one by one, like any other.

What remains to be completed

Deletion is requested by email: the platform does not yet expose an account-deletion action of its own, and we would rather write that than point you at a button that does not exist. The retention periods for the decision log and for raw files are not settled yet; they will be written here the day they are.
