The amount is shown before you accept
A talent's fear is not earning too little, it is working without knowing for how much. Here is what happens between the invitation and the payout.
SelfShooty pays you, not the brand
You are a supplier to SelfShooty, and SelfShooty pays you. Your fee is set per batch of videos; it does not depend on the price the brand pays, and the brand does not see it.
- No price to propose, no negotiating with a brand
- One fee per batch, for a single order
- Nothing to pay to apply
The amount is on the invitation
Every invitation tells you everything before you decide: the number of videos, the language, the deadline, the wardrobe and setting required, and what you will earn. You accept or you decline.
The check triggers the payout
You upload your takes. SelfShooty checks each one against the script and the brief; if a take falls short, you are asked to redo it. Once the batch is approved, the payout is due to you.
- The check covers the script, framing, sound, light and the wardrobe required
- A redo request says what needs to change
To your payout account
You open your payout account from your account, with Stripe. You give your identity and your IBAN to Stripe: SelfShooty does not see them and does not keep them. Without that account, nothing can be paid to you.
FAQ
- Can I negotiate my fee?
- No: SelfShooty sets it and shows it before you accept. If it does not suit you, you decline the invitation.
- What if a take does not pass the check?
- SelfShooty asks you to redo that take, and says what needs to change. The batch is approved once its videos are.
- Does it cost anything to apply?
- No. Not the sign-up, not the audition, not the agreement.
- Why do I need a payout account?
- Because that is how you get paid. A talent without an account that is ready does not appear in the directory: they could not be paid.
